Global Missions...
At First Presbyterian Church, we believe an
important part of the Christian life is in supporting various mission projects,
both at home and abroad. Some overseas projects we support include:
- International Hunger Fund
- since 1987, this program has funded graduate students from 20
countries to assist their research in food production and alleviating hunger.
- Kay-Billie-Klaer Academy - this school in Legon, a
suburb of Ghana's capital city of Accra, is a successful result of a "mustard
seed" planted in Africa by three members of First Presbyterian Church.
- Ethiopian Mission Project - a project of the
Susquehanna Valley
Presbytery since 1996, this project seeks to partner and share with our
brothers and sisters in Christ in Ethiopia.
