Ithaca Kitchen Cupboard...

The Ithaca Kitchen Cupboard (IKC) is located in the Ithaca Corps Center of the Salvation Army at 150 N Albany Street. First Presbyterian Church is one of twenty-four area churches and faith communities who are members of the organization that operates this program, Area Congregations Together (ACT).

Donations may be brought to the IKC room in the Salvation Army Building from 9am-12pm M-F or collected at participating congregations. At First Presbyterian donations may be placed in the shopping cart inside the park side-N Cayuga St entrance.

The IKC room is set up like a store, with shelves neatly lining the walls and a huge refrigerator stocked with eggs, cheese, yogurt, and more. There's also a freezer for frozen meats. The shelves are stocked with canned and boxed food, bottled drinks, and even toiletries. Most items are from donations, and any shortfalls are purchased with donated dollars.

The food pantry is open five days a week, from 1:30-3:00pm. Volunteers from ACT member congregations take turns handing out a week's supply of food to eligible families. Volunteers are always welcomed!

The Ithaca Kitchen Cupboard can be contacted at the Salvation Army – 607-273-2400.
