Junior High Action Zone (JHAZ)

and Senior High Activity Center (SHAC)...

SHAC and JHAZ meet from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Sunday mornings at the Youth Center.

JHAZ and SHAC meet weekly on Sundays during the school year, and each month have a social activity and mission-oriented project in addition to regular meetings.

TOUR 2009

This year, four of our youth and three chaperones drove to Sandusky, OH for a weekend of fun and service. First Pres Sandusky started a summer missions program and we were one of their first groups. We slept at the church, but spent most of our time in and around Sandusky. The first day, we served dinner at a Volunteers of America home and entertained some of the kids staying there. The next morning, we helped landscape (weed, rake, sweep) the mini-golf course at the Veterans Home of Ohio. Later that evening, we drove to Cedar Point for some excitement and were not disappointed. Finally, we took a ferry to Kelleys Island to experience the beauty of Creation before driving back to Ithaca. It was a great time! You can check out some of our highlights here.

2010 Trips:

Triennium is back!

At the last triennium eleven members of SHAC traveled to Purdue University in Indiana for this gathering of over 6,000 Presbyterian Youth from around the world. This year should be great! It's for anyone entering freshman year this year and is sponsored by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
