Peace Discernment Update
Saturday, March 30, members of our church and presbytery gathered to wrestle with questions of how our church is called to act in society to seek peace and justice while providing protection and security. This retreat was part of a denomination-wide Peace Discernment process to “identify, explore, and nurture new approaches for active peacemaking and nonviolence.” Following our conversation, we prepared a summary of our ideas and recommendations, which was sent to a steering team to inform the PC(USA)’s vision, policies, and actions on peacemaking. You can read the full report by downloading the Peace Discernment Summary below.
