Lent/Adult EducationDavid Copperfield with Dr. Henery February 17, 24, March 3, 10 “Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life … these pages must show.” And so begins one of Charles Dickens’ most read and beloved novels—David Copperfield. Dr. Henery will use this novel for the first four Sundays in Lent and focus on a theme of repentance and forgiveness plus an extended parable being retold of the Prodigal Son. Thanks to the Rose Monkemeyer Education Fund, books have been purchased and are available at no cost in the office or during fellowship time in Dodds Hall after worship. J.S. Bach: St. Matthew Passion, BWV 244 John Yao – March 17, 24 A look at one of Bach’s greatest works and its theology. Special attention given to the chorales and the theology of participating in the passion. Come, listen, and sing along!
