Christ

The lower panel contains these verses:

Jesus came into Galilee preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. (Mark 1:14b)

In Him was life and the life was the light of men. (John 1:4)

This window is dedicated to Charles Farrar Blood and to his wife Estelle Hazen Blood.  They lived at the corner of East Buffalo and Fountain Place in the house later occupied by the painter Olaf Brauner and now occupied by John Marcham.  Mr. Blood came from Bath in 1838, opened a store on North Tioga Street in 1882 and began to manufacture window glass in 1883.  He was a lawyer, a politician, served with the DeWitt Guards of the 50th New York regiment for many years and became a brigadier general.  He also served as a fireman with the Tornado Hook and Ladder Company.  he was a director of the Savings Bank and Trust Company and a trustee of Cornell.  He invested heavily in real estate.  It is from his holdings that his son, Charles H. Blood, in conjunction with Jared Newman, developed Cayuga Heights.  Newman was also an elder of this church.  Mr. Blood senior was an elder for 27 years, trustee for 30 and treasurer of the church.  "Charlie" Blood undoubtedly gave this window for his parents.

The memorial plaque reads:
