Director of Youth Christian Education Sought for Ithaca, NY Church

 

Wonderful opportunity to provide creative leadership to nurture and revitalize our current children’s Christian education program. 

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in education, religion, or related field.  Previous experience in leading a Christian education program desired.  Experience with Godly Play curriculum a plus. Computer skills including social media knowledge important.

Skills:

Has a strong affinity for young people. Leads through example that is inspiring for the youth. Finds joy in and excels at leading and communicating to a wide age span of a diverse population.  Must be able to understand today’s youth and families. Has good command of organizational skills both verbal and written.  Finds it exciting to creatively nurture and revitalize current youth programs while working closely with pastor, staff, parents and church committee leaders.

Requirements:

Full time position; Sundays being a required day; Sunday children’s sermon; occasional youth mission trips; Christian Education (Sunday School).
